We want all children to be well nourished and to develop healthy eating habits, and good nutrition is essential to children’s health, development and their ability to fulfil their potential in life. We already recognise the benefits of providing a healthy school meal to the most disadvantaged children during term time.

We will review and consider the findings of the Hungry Holidays report and I would be happy to write back to you separately in due course.
