Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, how many and what proportion of companies with a Government contract worth more than £10,000 have a women as chief executive.

Our policy is to award contracts on the basis of the best value for money for the taxpayer.

Information on the composition of suppliers’ boards and their pay structures is not held centrally.

The ‘Think, Act, Report’ initiative is a simple framework to help businesses maximise female talent in the workplace. Over 280 businesses, covering over 2.5 million employees, have signed up to the principles embodied in ‘Think, Act, Report’. They are listed on the Gov.uk website:
