Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many people have been diagnosed with problems relating to alcohol consumption in each of the last five years.

Data are not collected centrally for those diagnosed with problems relating to alcohol consumption. Drinking alcohol can lead to more than 60 different medical conditions, many of these conditions can be a result of long term alcohol misuse.
