Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many people have a voluntary GPS tag in West Yorkshire in the most recent year for which information is available; and what assessment she has made of the effect on offending levels of wearing such a tag; and what the source of that data is.
We are aware that a number of police forces use voluntary tagging as part of their local Integrated Offender Management arrangements. These are local arrangements, and information on the numbers who voluntarily agree to wear a tag is not held centrally.
