Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, if he will discuss with the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union making available funds no longer required for EU budget payments from 2019-20 for projects exclusively to support disabled people.
The Government is determined to make a success of leaving the European Union and will continue to seek opportunities to improve outcomes for disabled people and support them to live independent and fulfilling lives.
On this matter, as with all issues related to exiting the EU, this Department is considering all of the available options to ensure that we deliver the best deal for those who use health and social care services.
The Government is united in its ambition to deliver a successful withdrawal from the EU and Departments will work together to deliver this.
