Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what plans he has to introduce legislation on property ownership and public contracting by overseas companies and legal entities.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy is currently analysing responses to a call for evidence on a register showing who owns and controls overseas legal entities that own UK property or participate in UK Government procurement. Next steps will be outlined in the Department’s response to the call for evidence.
