To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, if she will conduct a post hoc impact assessment of the Heather and Grass etc. Burning (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2025.

Defra continues to monitor the growing evidence on heather and grass burning including the potential impacts of burning on peatland habitats and their recovery, to inform our approach to peatland protection and restoration. There are no current plans to conduct a post hoc impact assessment of the Heather and Grass etc. Burning (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2025.
