The Foreign Secretary has regular discussions with a range of Cabinet colleagues, including the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, on a wide range of issues relating to the COVID-19 crisis. The UK is playing a leading role to ensure a strong and coordinated international response to the crisis: to strengthen the resilience of the most vulnerable countries, to find a vaccine, and to mitigate unprecedented disruption to the global economy and trade. We are working closely with partners bilaterally and through multilateral organisations such as the G7, G20, the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the international financial institutions. As part of this, we are galvanising support for a science-based response, led by the WHO. We are a key donor to the WHO and have already contributed £75 million to help the organisation lead international efforts to stop the spread of the virus and end the pandemic.
