Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether her Department has held discussions with the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology on (a) attracting and (b) retaining talented (i) researchers and (ii) innovators through the UK visa system.

The Home Office regularly engages with the Department of Business, Innovation, Science and Trade (and the former Department of Science, Innovation and Technology) on how the government can support researchers and innovators coming to the UK.
