If an appeal is successful, Personal Independence Payment (PIP) arrears are paid in full to the claimant.

If a PIP claimant loses their entitlement to a Motability car as a result of being reassessed, there are transitional arrangements in place which allow them to keep the car for a minimum of 7 weeks after the PIP decision. They will also receive a cash payment of up to £2000 and can re-join the Motability scheme if their eligibility is confirmed following an appeal.
