Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what his policy is on making it mandatory for all pension providers to provide relevant data to pensions dashboards.

A pensions dashboard would show all of a person’s pension pots in one secure online location.

A cross-section of the industry worked with HM Treasury to develop a working prototype. The successful demonstration of the prototype in April showed the feasibility of providing information from different pensions schemes in one place, and was met with enthusiasm by technology start-ups, financial advisors and the media.

We are considering the next steps for the policy.
