NHS England assessed the Bristol Mesh Complications Specialist Service to ensure it would be compliant with the specification prior to commencement of service in April 2022. An assessment of compliance will be made through the quality surveillance programme and associated peer review in due course.

We have no plans to make a specific assessment of the Scottish Government’s contract with Spire Healthcare. North Bristol NHS Trust does not make use of facilities at Spire Healthcare to deliver its vaginal mesh removal service.
