Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what representations he has made to his Iranian counterpart on the circumstances that led to the detention of Mr Jafar Azimzadeh of the Iranian Workers' Rights Organisation and his access to medical treatment while in detention.

We are aware of media reports of the detention of Mr Jafar Azimzadeh. Whilst we have made no specific representations, we regularly raise human rights issues with Iran. We have no information on his medical treatment in detention.
