Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what discussions he has had with his ministerial colleagues on the potential effect of the Government's commitment to tackle the illicit trade in tobacco products on public health policy.

I recently discussed the impact of illicit trade of tobacco on public health as part of the Cross Government Ministerial Group on Illicit Trade, which was announced in the refreshed Government strategy ‘Tackling illicit tobacco: from leaf to light’ last year.
