Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, whether people claiming attendance allowance can access Motability.
This question was answered on 7th July 2016
As Attendance Allowance awards are based on the need for care or supervision and not on mobility they do not give entitlement to the Motability scheme. This is also the case for the daily living component of PIP and the care component of DLA.
