Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether he has made an assessment of the potential merits of supporting local authorities to have dedicated Learning Disability Champions.

We have not made an assessment of the potential merits of supporting local authorities to have dedicated learning disability champions. We made a commitment in Parliament during the passage of the Health and Care Act 2022, that all Integrated Care Boards should have a named lead for autism and learning disabilities. This will be set out in statutory guidance that NHS England will issue.
