Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what steps her Department has taken to safeguard the supply of reagents and additives for UK fuel refineries in the event that the UK leaves the EU without a deal.
The Government continues to work closely with the fuel supply industry to ensure they have taken appropriate mitigating measures to prevent any disruption to their supplies and have plans in place to respond to a range of EU Exit scenarios, including in the event of Brexit without a Withdrawal Agreement. As part of that engagement, we have been in contact with all six UK refineries, who have reviewed their supply chains and confirmed that they have sufficient stockpiles of essential consumables.
