In 2022/23, Health Education England (HEE) is investing an additional £50 million to expand the cancer and diagnostics workforce, including cancer nurse specialists. HEE is offering training grants to enable existing and aspiring cancer nurse specialists to undertake additional training to develop specialist clinical, leadership, education and research capabilities, including in relation to prostate cancer. The forthcoming 10 Year Cancer Plan will also ensure that the appropriate workforce is in place.
