Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what assessment she has made of the potential impact of not having a specific ministerial role for the Middle East on the UK's influence in that region.

Ministerial appointments are a decision for the Prime Minister. The Middle East ministerial post remains within the FCDO.
