Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, how many staff were employed by HM Consulate-General in Istanbul on (a) 1 January 2010, (b) 1 January 2015 and (c) 1 June 2015.

The number of staff employed by the British Consulate-General in Istanbul on 31st March 2010 is shown in the table below. The number of staff employed by the British Consulate-General in Istanbul for 1st January 2015 and 1st June 2015 are also shown in the table. All Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) Local Staff and Other Government Department Local Staff are directly employed by the British Consulate-General. UK based FCO staff are employed by the FCO in London but are serving a posting in Istanbul.
