Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what steps his Department is taking to help educate the public on ways to alleviate the cost of living crisis.

In the British Energy Security Strategy, the Government committed to launching a comprehensive energy advice service on GOV.UK. The ‘Find ways to save energy in your home’ page launched on the 28^th of July. The Government will also provide additional support through a telephone service and local advice provision in due course.

My Rt. Hon. Friend the Prime Minister announced details of the scheme on Wednesday 21st September. The press release and guidance has been circulated widely across business sectors and trade bodies as well as though social media.
