Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether the Government is taking steps to support journalists from Belarus who have fled that country and need assistance with (a) visas, (b) relocation funds and (c) financial support to continue their journalism.

The UK will always defend media freedom and journalists right to do their job. We are providing up to £4.5 million support this year to independent Belarusian media, including those that have been displaced by the current situation.
