Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, whether the outcome of the discussions that are due to take place between the Government and the Post Office on a funding package from 2018 onwards will be subject to parliamentary scrutiny.

Post Office Limited is currently preparing its funding ask and strategy for consideration by its Board and then Ministers. We expect the Post Office to continue to need funding beyond 2018, and we will be working with Post Office Limited over the coming months to establish the required funding levels.
