Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if he will take steps to increase the number of people employed in coastguard stations.
This question was answered on 8th July 2015
The current recruitment campaign for Maritime Operations Officers within the National Network closes at the beginning of August 2015 and will be followed by the candidate assessment process.
Her Majesty’s Coastguard will continue to, proactively recruit for Coastguard Officers where vacancies exist.
