NHS Digital publishes monthly Hospital and Community Health Services (HCHS) data on the number of community psychiatric nurses employed in the National Health Service in England. Following a public consultation in 2015, categorisation of trusts and staff groups included in the monthly HCHS publication changed. NHS Digital has also provided a revised time series on the new basis which allows comparison with previous years back to September 2009.

The following table shows the number of community psychiatric nurses employed in the NHS between June 2010 and June 2016, the latest date for which data is available.
