Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, how many families were recorded as living in overcrowded conditions in Romford constituency in (a) 2015 and (b) the most recent date for which data is available.

The Government does not hold this data. The 2018-19 English Housing Survey does estimate levels of overcrowding, based on three-year averages, but not at a constituency level.

The local authority or local authorities who cover the Romford constituency may be able to provide this information. Local authorities have a legal duty to keep housing conditions in their area under review.
