Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if he will make it his policy that the EU Port Services Regulation is not replaced in UK law after the UK leaves the EU.

The Government does not believe that the Ports Services Regulation is necessary or desirable.

However, until we leave, EU law will continue to apply to the UK. The Department will continue to work alongside the Department for Exiting the European Union, which has the responsibility for leading the negotiations to leave the EU, and for the future relationship between the UK and EU.
