Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what recent representations she has received from NHS trusts on safeguards for EU nationals working in the NHS after the UK has left the EU; and if she will make a statement.

Government Ministers and officials receive representations from a wide range of stakeholders. The Prime Minister has been clear that she wants to protect the status of EU nationals here. The only circumstances in which that would not be possible are if British citizens’ rights in other EU Member States were not protected in return.
