Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many people were admitted to hospital as a result of the adverse effects of the psychoactive substance spice in (a) Liverpool, Wavertree constituency, (b) Liverpool, (c) the Liverpool City Region and (d) each region in each year since 2010.
Data is collected centrally on hospital admissions for drug poisoning. However, there is no separate classification for this type of drug, so it is not possible to separate out admissions resulting from the adverse effects of ‘Spice’ from those due to other types of drugs.
