The Government has significantly improved its understanding of the threat from all forms of extremism through the work of the Extremism Analysis Unit. The Counter Extremism Strategy sets out the action the Government is taking to tackle extremism wherever it occurs.

Through the Prevent strand of the CONTEST counter-terrorism strategy we are safeguarding individuals who are vulnerable to radicalisation, and are currently working with over 80 civil society groups and statutory partners to build resilience in communities against radicalisation.
