Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether the published figures for people admitted to hospital with covid-19 include those who have been admitted for another condition but have also tested positive for covid-19, even if not showing any symptoms; and if he will make a statement.

The National Health Service publishes weekly reports by Trust on the number of hospitalised patients with COVID-19; the number of patients admitted to hospital with COVID-19 and the number of patients diagnosed in hospital with COVID-19. This includes those who have been admitted to hospital for another condition and is available at the following link:
