Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, whether mental health providers are required in recording data on the use of physical restraint to record the ethnicity of the person against whom such restraint is used.

Yes, ethnicity and physical restraint are required elements of the Mental Health Services Data Set.
