Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what steps the Government has taken in response to the recommendation in paragraph 4.1.4 of the Hutton review of forensic pathology in England and Wales on (a) introducing a publicly-funded salaried service for forensic pathologists and (b) job planning coronial autopsy sessions within NHS contracts.
This recommendation is part of potential wider structural change that forms part of advice on options, currently being considered by Home Office Ministers, for taking forward the recommendations in the Hutton Review of forensic pathology in England and Wales.
