Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what assessment he has made of the effect on the retention of automatic EU-wide marketing licences for chemical companies whose products are notified at a national level in the UK of the UK leaving the EU.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy is currently working closely with the Department for Exiting the European Union to understand the impacts that withdrawal from the EU will have on businesses, consumers and other economic actors. Only once that analysis is complete will we be able to take an informed decision on what is best for the UK. As my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister has said we will work hard to get the best deal for Britain.
