Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many higher-education students are living in (a) Birmingham and (b) Birmingham, Northfield constituency.
Statistics identifying the term-time address of higher education students can only be provided at disproportionate cost. However, Table 3 of the Higher Education Statistics Agency’s (HESA) Statistical First Release (SFR) entitled ‘Higher education student enrolments and qualifications obtained at higher education providers in the United Kingdom 2014/15’ shows that there were 76,140 enrolments at higher education institutions (HEIs) in Birmingham[1] in the academic year 2014/15.
