Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what steps his Department is taking to improve the supply of shared equity affordable housing in (a) Peterborough and (b) England; and if he will make a statement.

We are committed to supporting people into home ownership through shared equity. Help to Buy Equity Loan supports prospective home buyers purchasing a new-build home and Shared Ownership enables purchasers to buy a share in a new build property and pay a controlled rent on the remainder.
