Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, whether the Cabinet Office plans to alter official guidelines for (a) Ministers and (b) special advisers to Ministers relating to meetings with members of the press.

The Government publishes details of all Ministers’ and Special Advisers meetings on a quarterly basis with newspaper and other media proprietors, editors and senior executives regardless of the purpose of the meeting. Similar information is published for Permanent Secretaries.

There are no plans to change the existing guidance.
