General Practitioners: Closures

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, pursuant to the Answer of 25 June 2015 to Question 2849, how many GP practices in receipt of funding under the Minimum Practice Income Guarantee in (a) England, (b) London, (c) the London Borough of Islington and (d) Islington South and Finsbury constituency have closed in each of the last 10 years up to 1 April 2014.
The available information is contained in the following table. Information on the number of practices in receipt of Minimum Practice Income Guarantee (MPIG) payments which have closed is only available from 2013/14. Information is not collected at parliamentary constituency level.
It is important to note that these figures also include practices which have merged or been taken over and do not provide an accurate representation of activity or service provision.
