Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how much her Department has allocated to French border security arrangements at ports in the last 12 months for which figures are available.
Over the 19/20 Financial Year, the UK committed £5.7 million to infrastructure improvements at the ports of Calais and Dunkirk in Northern France. This funding has been committed to improving screening processes at the ports and improving the integrity of the juxtaposed controls.
The UK and France will continue to work closely together to tackle illegal migration across the shared border, whether through the ports or via small boats across the English Channel.
