Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what steps his Department is taking to strengthen the resilience of the defence supply chain.

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is currently working to operationalise the Defence Supply Chain Strategy and the wider strategic supply chain commitments made by the MOD since 2020 and more recently in the Defence Command Paper. This includes designing resilience into future supply chains from the outset, developing a closer and more collaborative relationship with industry on supply chain design, and improving analysis and monitoring to allow for the rapid implementation of interventions to tackle risks when they arise.
