Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to ensure that the needs of blind and partially sighted people are included in guidance on social distancing as part of measures to ease the lockdown during the covid-19 outbreak.
The Minister of State for Disabled People, Health and Work, (Justin Tomlinson MP) has confirmed the appointment of a senior lead for accessible information. This will help to make sure that blind and partially sighted people can access the latest Government guidance about COVID-19, including what to do if someone in your household is unwell, what social distancing means and general advice on the Government website.
