To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether her Department has made an assessment of the potential merits of establishing an independent inquiry into alleged police malpractice in Scotland and Wales during the 1984-85 Miners' Strike.

There are no plans to establish an independent inquiry into alleged police malpractice during the miners’ strike in Scotland and Wales during 1984-85.
