Question to the Department for Exiting the European Union :
To ask the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, what contingency planning the Government has undertaken on the role of the three devolved national parliaments in voting to trigger the Article 50 process.
The people of the UK voted as a whole to give the Government a clear instruction, and we intend to fulfil that instruction in a way that fully complies with the law and our commitments.
The Prime Minister has committed to full engagement with the Devolved Administrations to get the best possible deal for all parts of our United Kingdom as we leave the EU. We will give the Devolved Administrations every opportunity to have their say as we form our negotiating strategy and we will look at any suggestions they put forward.
