Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, which body is responsible for centrally monitoring the effectiveness of (a) local suicide prevention plans and (b) local multi-agency suicide prevention groups in England.

Public Health England provides support, resources, data and guidance designed to assist local authority teams in their suicide prevention work. All of these resources are available on our suicide prevention portal on GOV.UK.
