Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many working days were lost due to mental illness in his Department in each of the last three years.

The numbers of working days lost due to mental illness in the Department in the past three years are given in the table below.

Mental illness, as a reason for absence, has a standard definition across the Civil Service and includes stress and anxiety.
