The UK continues to be a member of the EU and will meet the obligations as a full member state. This includes paying into the EU budget.

We have already informed the House that we are not going to provide a running commentary on every twist and turn of our negotiations to leave the EU, but we will strike a deal in the best interests of UK taxpayers, and which gives UK companies the maximum freedom to trade with and operate in the Single Market.
