Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what plans his Department has to increase its overseas diplomatic representation after the vote to leave the EU; and if he will make a statement.

We are strengthening our European network of posts including by increasing the number of UK based staff posted, upgrading the seniority of a number of Heads of Mission jobs and increasing our representation in Geneva. We will continue to review staffing in the wider network as appropriate.
