Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if he will negotiate to fast-track the public national policy statement consultation on Heathrow Airport expansion in order to deliver that project more quickly.

The Government believes it is important that the public, business and other interested parties across the UK have their chance to comment on the Government’s draft Airports National Policy Statement supporting Heathrow expansion. We will launch a consultation of an appropriate duration as soon as possible in the New Year.
