Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what funding his Department makes available to support NHS providers in renovating, maintaining and developing properties that form part of the NHS estate.

In addition to funding capital expenditure programmes from their own income sources, NHS Providers can apply for a range of financing from the Department for projects which may require funding over a number of years. Capital loans are the default form of finance for foundation trusts and National Health Service trusts.
