Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, if he will publish the documentation his Department has received from hepatologists and other medical professionals on the potential proportion of applications to the special category mechanism from people who contracted hepatitis C from contaminated blood which will be successful.

The special category mechanism is still being developed. As this is policy in development it would not be appropriate to release any information that is being gathered to inform the policy.
